Our Cosmic Currents

PLANET TRANSITS BY SIGN: SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER 2025
Aries
Aries, you may seem to be focussed on fixing problems, helping others, and just keeping up with the demands of your life. Welcome to Saturn in Aries, ongoing since late May! Virgo Time began with a New Moon on August 23, with plenty of Earth/Water harmonies. Take this as a nudge to look after your body, take reviving nature fixes, no matter how short. Each night, choose to surrender burdens to Earth Mother/Gaia’s strong arms. Maybe reinforce this with a morning mantra, while showering. Allow fortunate Jupiter in Cancer, to wash your troubles away, to confirm family love.
The good news is that on September 1, Saturn backs out of Aries and remains in Pisces until mid-February 2026. However, an added complication is planet Neptune in Aries, travelling beside Saturn, but not backing into Pisces until October 22. Neptune is the opposite to Saturn’s controlled order, with dreams and loss of boundaries a part of its other-worldly repertoire. So, be very pleased that Venus in Leo adds Fire, fun, and creative oomph for most of September. Energy rises when ruler Mars harmonises with fiery Venus, from September 9 to 19! A ceremonial viewing of the Pisces total lunar eclipse pre-dawn on September 8, will put you in the perfect mindset to notice these gifts of the cosmos. To help you see the big picture, comes the happy Uranus/Pluto Air sign dance through all of September and October. Notice the cosmic jokes, the humour in everyday events. Be glad these two attract helpful friends and some great intuitive flashes, to uplift Neptune’s time in Aries. Caution must rule on September 24, then Libra Time can unfold nicely for you, spicing up relationships. Aries Full Moon on October 7 has a powerful well-placed Mars in Scorpio that continues to open inner worlds for you, as well as strengthening your resolve on many levels. The Ram can always recover quickly, once a fun challenge is in the air. Since Air sign harmonies between Uranus and Pluto, hook in Lover Venus from October 14 to 16, adventures lay ahead. Make the most of sensual, creative Mars harmonies from October 19 to 29!
Taurus
Venus, your leading planet, also known as the Shining One, is currently Star of the Morning, rising before Sun in the East. She sweetens home and family, energising practical improvements to beauty and flow. With Change Agent, planet Uranus, now departed from Taurus until November 8, creating security is easier for you. Further help comes with Saturn’s shift back into Pisces on September 1, where it will support creative collaboration for the next five months. Good ideas get better that way.
Where change is happening now is in financial matters, but do carefully consider any grand schemes. With strong support from planet Pluto, together with Uranus, they prompt new ways to voice yourself in the outer world. Ambitions can succeed, yet, Taurus-style, a strong safety net is wise. September 4 to 16 open the doors of your imagination, with September 8’s Full Moon, an accelerator. This Full Moon is an eclipse, an opportunity to release any fears or regrets around your social roles. This will release a lot of energy to lighten your heart. A solar eclipse and a rare second Virgo New Moon, on September 22, will oppose Saturn. This brings to your attention the bridges you must build between your social persona and your creative core, which needs a jolt of energy. Seeds sown at New Moon help you to establish healing routines, creating order for body and home. This then flows into Libra Time from September 23 to October 22, a period which hosts wonderful Water harmonies between Jupiter and Saturn, and extends to October 30, drawing in Mars energy. This world-building combo can revolutionise your state of mind, enrich communication, improve your social life, and boost confidence.
Gemini
Ultra-slow Uranus entered Gemini in early July, to remain there until early November, when it slips back into Taurus. Then, Uranus returns to Gemini for an 8 Year stay on April 26, 2026. This once in 84-year event signals major changes and new experiences of self-understanding for Gemini. This can be your friend through September and October, while it gathers support from Neptune and Pluto. These three are the New Era trio taking first shape now, before finally settling in 2026.
September 3, 11 & 12 may test your patience, try not to over-react! The Pisces Full Moon and total lunar eclipse on September 8 brings a strong family and home dynamic to the fore. Pay attention to this as an opportunity to release old family wounds or resentment. Since Venus is in Leo and Mars in Libra, these relationships planets weave a lovely harmonious spell from September 9 to 19, if you allow it. Since your ruler, fast-moving Mercury enters Libra on September 18, it links nicely with Uranus, and Pluto for a few days, ideas pop. As the ‘mutable’ Air sign, you juggle some dualities, whether personality, work, or likes/dislikes. Now Uranus ups the ante and requires greater seriousness to protect authentic personal needs from impulsive, chaotic change. Awakening experiences, shocks, sudden insights that confound your expectations, are part of the transpersonal force of Uranus. Neptune too can use the voice of friends or social networks to undercut life’s realities. If uncertain about anything, exercise restraint, and caution. All Geminis will be highly charged by this first taste of the New Era planets, particularly those born in May. New creative thrust, maybe new love, flow. Seeds sown August 12 to 27 show greater promise in September, with a high potential for happy events from September 16 to 24. October and Libra Time offer even more for airy Gemini. Uranus and Pluto, hook up with Venus in Libra from October 14 to 16, so love ignites fun ideas, and soothes your over-worked brain. Make the most of sensual, emotionally healing Water harmonies from October 19 to 29! Let your feelings be the wise guide that is their potential when honoured.
Cancer
Since late June’s meeting of fortunate Jupiter and Sun in Cancer, a theme has been set: More expansive opportunities for self-expression, and a guardian angel that sees you through your most testing times, will smile on your sign for a whole year. With both Saturn and Neptune in your vocational sign, there could be strange tests where well-laid plans suddenly dissolve, or confusion over-rides common sense. In all cases, wait, breathe, and give thanks for the gifts of your life. Gratitude practises on a daily level, attract the best of Jupiter in Cancer.
Full Moon in Pisces on September 8, highlights your adventurous side, your spiritual yearnings. This is also a total lunar eclipse, which can be viewed pre-dawn in Aus & NZ. Do consider a ceremony in which you release the obstacles to your adventurous spirit, and let any fears of inner journeys be eclipsed. The Pisces/Virgo Eclipse Axis will continue to open fateful doors for you, well into 2026. There is a New Era theme of changes whose time has come, which will become clearer when all three outer planets involved finally settle in April 2026. July through September is giving you a first taste. Jupiter says embrace the New, as a rare offering. September 4 to 12 is fateful in interesting ways. Your most intimate groups become a source of great contentment. September 22’s New Moon and solar eclipse add emphasis to the changes theme. While blessings flow readily, The Libra period from September 23 to October 22 offers a strange mix of gifts and challenges that make you think deeply about how you want to voice yourself in your world. Fortunately, Uranus and Pluto dance with Lover Venus, happy in Libra from October 14 to 16. This translates as lots of exciting family time, maybe sudden urges for home improvement, with Venus in the lead until early November. Also, make sure you enjoy the sensual, energising Water sign harmonies from October 19 to 29!
Leo
Messenger Mercury is in Leo from late June to early September, its presence extended by Retro motion. This cycle made Leo Time very special, also deep and reflective. Now, a three-way Air/Fire outer planet harmony, continues to support your receptivity to change, from July to early November. This taste of a New Era is tantalising, but stronger once the trio of Neptune, Uranus and Pluto are all settled in their Fire/Air dance for years, starting April 26, 2026. This will define your own new era of radical change, as well as a satisfying first taste in September and October. After a deeply emotional Full Moon on September 8, which presses a few buttons, you can take advantage of it being a total lunar eclipse. Do so, by identifying self-created blocks and obstacles to investing in a secure and peaceful future. This eclipse in your investment sector is a helpful wakeup call. Once identified, start the slow healing process of first imagining, then embodying an eclipse of those obstacles. The creative imagination favours the Sun’s own sign of Leo, so make the most of this window into the mysteries of true body/mind partnership.
When Mercury hooks up with that outer planet Trio on September 19, you get a sense of how important changes are coming. Insight, fresh clarity, patterns that have mystified you, become clear. Then comes Mars into your home and family sign on September 22! Mars equals energy and potent emotional energy when in Scorpio, as now. Many thoughts, impulses and plans will arise, but beware crazy decisions on September 24, which is a ‘back off from arguments’ day. Through late September, and October, dreams, receptivity, and sensitivity deepen. Lover Venus in Leo lights you up, with September 16 to 19 very special. October 7 brings a Full Moon in your adventure sign, which evokes ideas of travel and perhaps a retreat from daily life, to allow creative energy to gather. Then, the shift of Lover Venus into Libra on October 14, brings an extraordinary creative rush on October 15 & 16. After that, Venus smiles upon writing, communication, and meaningful connections, for the rest of October into early November. How sweet it is.
Virgo
Old Soul business rises to meet you in 2025, with the Moon’s Eclipse Axis across Pisces/Virgo. Since Mars was in Virgo through July and early August, it energised your desires, maybe your reactions as well. Two New Moons in Virgo, one to start and one to finish Virgo Time, on September 22, happen to synchronise with the eclipses. This is a rare and special time. You are capable of your personal best from August 23 to September 22. Your ruler, Mercury, was Retro from July 18 to August 11, so your inner spiritual journey has had an awakening, on some level. Contemplative practises will emotionally sustain you through September, particularly useful at Full Moon in Pisces on September 8. This is a total lunar eclipse, and an opportunity to eclipse destructive relationship patterns, to better embody the joy of relating. Consider rising pre-dawn to see the totality when Moon turns a deep orange, wonderful for a simple personal ceremony. Check your own time zone for exact timing.
Your second Virgo New Moon, is a solar eclipse, on September 22, right before Sun slips into Libra, the next morning. Challenges at this fateful event, are Moon’s opposition to Saturn and Neptune. This can mean you are juggling a blend of Neptune’s other-worldly unreal expectations, with the Saturn urge to prune any excess, to ignore wild dreams. Happily, Venus enters Virgo on September 19, to stay there until October 13, so open your heart window, refuse to be trapped by the monkey-mind. These unusual Sun/Moon events, plus the eclipses are made even more special by the first taste of a New Planetary Era, which August, September & October provide. The outer planet trio of Neptune, Uranus and Pluto, are driving a Fire and Air dance, which gives you a glimpse of the big changes to come. You are good at navigating change, but do not micro-manage, or that rare event of two New Moons in Virgo, could be eclipsed by excesses of order and control. With super-organiser/controller Saturn, back in Pisces from September 1, to stay in your partner sign until mid-February 2026, it may be your significant others that are the forces of excessive control. Just decide to follow your heart, and feel the flow, to claim your own Pisces magic for these months!
Libra
Venus-ruled Libra, you seek love, friendship, relationship, balance. Yet life is changing rapidly and July through to early September have both Saturn and Neptune in your partner sign. This is no easy combo! Demands that seem unfair, bad behaviour from loved ones, unrealistic hopes, can tilt your balance from July to September. Yet Venus helps you hold your equilibrium when she enters your sign of friendship and social connections, on August 26. You get the best of this on September 14 to 17 when she harmonises with Mars in Libra. It is energy plus. Also, outer planets Uranus and Pluto are a helpful Air sign team, providing a first experience of the New Planetary Era coming in 2026. This first taste is mind-opening for Libra from August until early November, if you allow surprises to thrill you. Look for the eye-opening aspects of these months. Dig deep for the wisdom to be gained from emotional hurts, then Neptune, Uranus and Pluto will midwife one of the most profound learning curves of your life.
From September 23’s Equinox to October 22, it is Libra Time – your time in the sun. Be cautious on September 24, when Mars and Pluto have a standoff. Beware alienating people you love. Then Libra Time can unfold sweetly. Your relationships are in the spotlight at Aries Full Moon on October 7. Yet, a powerful well-placed Mars in Scorpio supports this lunation, suggesting you do small practical things with loved ones, consider your budget and how cooperative efforts can help everyone get some of what they want. Most of all, use Full Moon to release any tendencies to being over-identified with the needs of others, at your own loss of authentic self. Inner worlds are fatefully opened wide now, since the eclipses activate your spiritual yearnings, all year. If you resolve to face old emotional pains, inner needs show themselves as achievable, slowly, Saturn style. While Saturn is back in Pisces from September to mid-February 2026, it is near the high potential point of the Eclipse Axis. This drives you to act on your dreams. Your guiding star Venus enters Libra, its home. Check her out as Morning Star in the arms of the Last Crescent Moon, pre-dawn on October 19. A star to wish upon, with both Feminine Lights in Libra! Since Air sign harmonies between Uranus and Pluto, hook in with Lover Venus from October 14 to 16, you are well prepared to claim your deepest needs. Then October 19 to 29 will be a memorable, heart-opening time.
Scorpio
Receptive by nature, but also private, Pluto’s long transit through your home and family sign, squares off to Scorpio, and is probably testing you emotionally. Try to find non-judgemental friends who can listen, or journal, or illustrate your feelings in some way, rather than swallowing them. July 7 through to November 8 brings the first taste of Uranus to the New Era Party of Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto. This may open you intuitively, with surprising shifts that awaken something new. Since fast-moving Venus travels through your vocational sign, from August 26 to September 18, this sweetens your worldly outlook, perhaps attracting exciting new roles. Friendships benefit from this Virgo period, providing good timing for gatherings. From August 23’s Virgo New Moon to September 8’s lunar eclipse and Full Moon in Pisces, your networks, love, and creativity, all blossom. Pay attention to the sudden insights that land like lightning flashes. Journal or draw or somehow give substance, to these helpful visitors. Otherwise, like most dreams, they disappear rapidly. You will gradually expand your social connections in September, with boosts on September 12, 13, 19, maybe Sep 24. But a Mars/Pluto standoff on September 24 is perhaps a time to consider any extreme polarities between your work in the world, and your family/home life. Big discussions about this are unwise, stick to a personal review for now!
October allows Libra Time to repeat some Water/Earth harmonies that worked for you in September. October 7 & 8 have first a Full Moon that illuminates your health and daily work routines. It is an excellent time to decide on a new regime that will both soothe your soul and fine-tune your body. At the New Moon of October 21, your early research, can unfold nicely. Perhaps do a tune-in process when on October 19, last Crescent Moon and Venus embrace in the pre-dawn sky. Mars travels through its home sign of Scorpio from late September through all of October, into early November. This energises you, when your ruling planet comes home every 26 months. Since Mars meets Mercury in Scorpio on October 20, then a New Moon, then Neptune returns to your sign of love and creativity on October 22, the creative thrust is strong. Both outer roles and inner worlds are nourished, ready for Sun’s entry into Scorpio on October 23. Since sweet Water harmonies follow, from October 25 to 30, you are really in your element!
Sagittarius
Your beneficial ruler, planet Jupiter, is now ‘exalted’ in Cancer for a year, until July 2026. Jupiter opens the door on happy families, but also urges you to consider your future security, to invest in your life. Certain dates are particularly relevant. Ideas seeded in late June, receive a boost with August 23’s New Moon, especially regarding vocational goals, paid and unpaid. Fire/Air harmonies of the New Era planets – Neptune, Uranus and Pluto, work in your favour in August, September, and October to early November. This inspires action from September 12 to 14, when your ruler Jupiter pulls in Water and Earth allies. The strongest sense of changes that have settled in, comes from late April 2026.
When Venus transits Leo from late August to September 19, many doors open for you and travel plans look especially good. Both good timing and a lucky combination of Sun, with the New Era planets - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, will smile upon September 23 to 24. Though do avoid any arguments or power struggles on September 24, when Mars gets wild. September 23 is also Spring Equinox and the beginning of Libra Time, a solar energy that works well for you. This lays the ground for an October scattered with pleasant surprises, so pay attention in late September, and slow down to enhance your awareness. An Aries Full Moon on October 7 illuminates your love and creativity, probably prompting you to acknowledge the special people in your life. An intense and well-placed Mars in Scorpio rules this Moon, so your spiritual life and inner dreams are the strength behind your actions now. Inner worlds fascinate you, yet you often spread yourself thin, with so many things on the go, and hats to wear. A special opportunity comes, when the Air sign harmonies between Uranus and Pluto, include Lover Venus from October 14 to 16. These days plant seeds that could lead to exciting collaborations between now and October 29. This may also be a period when travel plans take on real shape. The New Moon of October 21 flows into a golden Jupiter dance with Mercury and Mars, amplifying emotions and pleasures between October 25 and 29.
Capricorn
When your ruler Saturn shifts back into watery Pisces on September 1, the month takes on a receptive and healing energy for you. Saturn will remain in this sign that amplifies your feelings, prompting communication to be truly open-hearted. It does not leave until mid-February 2026, when a more testing Saturn cycle returns. Meanwhile, the New Era trio of outer planets form a happy link with each other, urging you to claim the changes and redesigns of your life, that have been sitting on the drawing board. Home and family, your overall health and wellbeing, plus your ways of managing security, are all a part of this change cycle. Your guide - planet Saturn, will also hook into that trio from February to April 2026. This is likely to be when changes will take full form. In many ways, loved ones, and significant female friends, will be catalysts for your own New Era.
Virgo Time gives earthy substance to your life, as well as activating your spirit of adventure. This began with August 23’s New Moon in Virgo, and ends with a second rare New Moon in Virgo on September 22. That rare synchronicity is made even more potent with the eclipse Axis now in Pisces/Virgo. The September 8 Full Moon is a total lunar eclipse that highlights your forms of communication, your connections with those nearby and short journeys. Plans may already be in place for journeys to come. Further defining your progress is the second Virgo New Moon on September 22. This is part of a powerful reminder that shifts are coming: Beginning on September 19 when Mercury dances with the outer planets – Neptune, Pluto and Uranus, and planting new seeds of ideas at Sep 22’s solar eclipse New Moon. This peaks on September 24 when Sun forms an Air/Fire dance with the Trio. It is Neptune in Aries that now inspires your dreams for home and family. October 7’s Full Moon is also in Aries, further highlighting collaboration, home, clan, and plans of change. By October 19 to 29, a series of planets making Water and Earth harmonies, remind you just how lucky you are, and the importance of gratitude. Since the World-maker planets, Saturn and Jupiter hold increasingly close Water harmonies through October into early November, your garden of self is lush.
Aquarius
The energy of Pluto in Aquarius is a wide-open door for you. Those born in Aquarius are at the vanguard of a New Era. This involves a trio of planets, but Pluto leads, having already settled into Aquarius for 20 years. August, September, and October are special, because now Neptune is in Aries and Uranus is in Gemini. Yet, both will shift back into Water and Earth signs before they finally settle by late April 2026. The Fire/Air dance of this trio will last through into 2028, a New Era. Yet the changeover time has its challenges. Specifically, when Saturn shifts back into Pisces on September 1, for five months, this is a less dynamic place for your ruling planet to be. Yet your second ruler, Uranus, is settled in compatible Gemini until early November. January-born Aquarians are the ones most influenced by this once in a lifetime outer planet dance, yet we all dance to the transpersonal themes of the far outer planets. Through September into early November Saturn highlights your most secret self and hidden yearnings, while Uranus highlights your creative urges, love, the freedom of self-expression. Meanwhile Pluto beckons you to go deeper, to meet and accept some personal demons, while Neptune offers dreams of future collaborations, of new social roles and vision.
Walking our way through September and October, relationships challenge your peace, yet can also bring positive shifts for the better. Full Moon on September 8 is a total lunar eclipse that picks up Saturn’s theme of the inner world and highlights the secret self. It is the September 22 New Moon that touches sensitive points. Your concerns for future security, investment and long-term planning get more attention now. Libra Time begins on September 23, with a Full Moon in your communication sign on October 7. This illuminates something you have been wanting to learn more about, perhaps a person who holds information you now seek. Outer planet Air sign harmonies hook up with Lover Venus in Libra from October 14 to 16, creating a complete ‘Air Grand Trine’ which suits you well! Fun, freedom, and interesting discussions all make your personal and professional life more sparkly. Since October 21’s New Moon seeds a new phase of adventure, you may be planning some travel or studies, or both. This is part of the October 19 to 29 Water sign harmonies that stir deep feelings. Since serious Saturn gains the support of fortunate Jupiter in Cancer, your home and hearth is your place of love and healing.
Pisces
Venus carries the joyous Fire of Leo as September begins, but serious Saturn also slips back into Pisces on September 1. Try to hold the Venus Fire internally, while you deal with the responsibilities and fix-it dynamics that Saturn is likely to bring. These come clearly into illumination at Pisces Full Moon of September 8. Since the Eclipse Axis is currently in Pisces/Virgo, Full Moon is a total lunar eclipse. Eclipses are an opportunity to release something that is destructive or no longer of use. A simple release ceremony would be a lovely choice, to view the Moon in its deep orange magic, at totality. This occurs pre-dawn in Australia and NZ. Just check your Time Zone. Moon takes hours to reach totality. With the second Virgo New Moon of September 22, a solar eclipse not visible, things from the past will tend to arise. They may offer new understanding into any self-destructive habits you identified at Full Moon. This is a slow fateful process, which will reach its full healing potential at March 3’s total lunar eclipse in 2026.
The fateful month of September is supported by many Water/Earth harmonies, which add to its healing potential for your bodily wellbeing, emotions, and for partnership. These harmonies even continue into Libra Time. October leads us through Libra’s cycle, which began on September 23. The most helpful of these is a Water-sign link between Jupiter and Venus on October 8, which will also cast its fortunate glow onto October 7’s energy-packed Full Moon. Then Air and Fire harmonies, offer extra energy for work and pleasure from October 14 to 17. This is when the New Era trio of Neptune, Uranus and Pluto hook up with Venus. These months are our first taste of an Air/Fire cycle that gets serious in 2026. In late October, Neptune too will slip back into Pisces, for months. This trio may start to transform your spiritual practices, your dreams of the possible, and bring the winds of change, via Uranus, to home and family life. Things become more personal from October 19 to 29, when emotional satisfaction is a given. With your ruler Jupiter, extra fortunate in Cancer, and there until July 2026, dreams and memories are stirred, expanding love and connection. The best of the Water harmonies comes October 25 to 30, when Jupiter, Saturn and Mars form a three-way Water-sign triangle that sprinkles magic dust on your life. Both worldly and deeply personal goals benefit.
