PLANET TRANSITS BY SIGN: DECEMBER 2024 & JANUARY 2025

SAGITTARIUS

Your New Moon in Sagittarius kickstarts the month, on December 1. New Moon aligns with Mercury, and is energised by Mars in Leo. This is a fiery combination, which suits your adventurous nature, and gets grand plans rolling. Yet Mercury is now Retro in Sagi, prompting you to go-slow! Review all plans, be prepared for small obstacles on December 4 or 7, and be flexible - one of the strengths of your sign! The Archer loves any reason to position a new arrow in the bowstring and see where it lands. December 7 to Jan 6 is a good time to reconnect with old friends, to unearth old ideas, to let fateful meetings show you new insights. This is because Mars goes Retro, holding a very long harmony with the fateful eclipse Axis. Since Mercury in Sagi moves ahead on December 16, right after an exciting Full Moon, there is plenty of action. Friends and family dominate your attention from December 13 to 20, in nice ways mostly. Adventures and plans spark excitement. Some plans vanish, other fall into place from January 5 to 13. Try not to let doubts or anxiety spoil this flow on January 7. From January 19 to 27, many Earth & Water planet harmonies make home & family time precious, while healing regimes are likely to get a fresh start. Anything that warms your heart, should have top priority now.

CAPRICORN

For the cardinal go-getter Earth sign of Capricorn, your birthday period, plus most of December, are full of happy contradictions. your ruling planet - Saturn, holds out new hope, ways for you to take control of new life directions, while also being safe. Yet, from Dec 1 to 7, Venus in Capricorn makes cosy links with Saturn, singing songs of pleasure, suggesting you let go, unwind. The Lover planet also hooks up with Uranus in the first week of December, suggesting limits are for pushing, and rules are for breaking. AQUARIUS 

With Pluto now in Aquarius, life is one big melting pot! Gradually, your perspective on life shifts on its axis, new insights into self-care gain momentum. Thinking skills, and your mode of operation within groups, reaches into deeper terrain. Several personal seismic shifts, can occur in December & January. Do allow things to start small! December 8 brings Venus into Aquarius. Yum, this is a chance to embody the tasty Venus energy of love and connection. Challenges of December 27 to 28, and January 2 to 4, can disrupt your relationship dynamics - Hold back on criticism of others, practice self-care. These short shakeups, can actually be useful wakeup calls. Emotional intelligence is the hard won gift, that brings the greatest joy to the Water Bearer. Those waters aren't just for 'humankind', they are reminders that we all drink from the same Wellspring. PISCES 

Pisces, you have been experiencing a two planet dance through your sign, that will not occur again in a human lifetime. Saturn, planet of resolute action, ambition and ‘Work hard to get ahead', has been in Pisces for two years! Saturn leaves Pisces in May 2025, visits again from Sept '25 to Feb '26, and won't return for 29 years. Neptune, the planet of ‘Live the dream’ & follow your spiritual impulses, has been in Pisces since 2012, and likewise finally leaves by early 2026. Neptune will not return this century. With two such opposite influences, life has been complicated. December helps you voice yourself in your world, & integrate your opposite sides. Everything to do with family is spotlighted for months, by your ruler Jupiter. Also, December favours your second ruler -Neptune, and the visions this god of watery depths brings forth. December 5 and December 8 to 20 are good times to connect, talk, feel your way, to decide which dreams need action. ARIES 

Aries likes action, direct communication, and laughter. Messenger Mercury is Retro in your travel & adventure sign from November 26 to December 15. This invites you to ask: ‘What really satisfies me?’ Don't expect an easy answer! Expect big questions like: Where should I be living? Should I move? What place/adventure really tugs at my heart? Let these circle around, any rush will defeat true insights. When your ruler Mars goes Retro as well, on December 7, old hopes resurface, love & creativity gets an inside-out perspective in December. Enjoy this, because hard truths may emerge from December 27 to January 3. Yet, these will clarify your priorities! Honour the importance of family, concentrate on feeling truly at home in yourself. So...issues and memories related to past friends and lovers, may arise. Allow and bless this, as part of a letting-go process. Then you are better at moving on after your Full Moon. December 6 is illuminating, December 8 is compelling, but December 15 to 16 is the most energising time of all: Gemini Full Moon and Mercury going Direct, are very revealing. On Dec 7, Mars goes Retro and appears to move backwards through Leo until January 6, 2025. Strangely, this makes life even more fateful, because the Eclipse Axis naturally moves backwards. So...a Mars fiery harmony with the Aries 'North Node' of the Eclipse Axis, just gets tighter and stronger until Jan 6! Fateful encounters, unusual reactions that energise you, and healing. Dec 15's Full Moon through to January 6 is a very good help for any healing regime, go for it. Forget Xmas overload, think New Year regeneration. Any issues of dominance by you, or over you, can easily transform into good connections. After all, transformative Pluto is in your partner sign now for 19 years. The most challenging point is Dec 28 to Jan 3, when Mars is opposite Pluto & Venus misbehaves in your partner sign. Be the Peacemaker, then all will be well. January 13 to 21 brings heart-warming times, big shifts.

VIRGO

Virgo, you are an often under-estimated sign, depicted as the Ice-maiden type 'Virgin' or everyone's helper. Indeed, your willingness to serve others, means you are often the background powerhouse. Once Mars begins its long Retro cycle on December 7, it is easier and wise, to take regular time-out. Make the most of this on Dec 5, 8 to 9, & 16 to 17, when aspects suggest any kind of Water Therapy. Cool Mars down via ocean walks. when it opposes Venus on Dec 12, disturbing relationship harmony. Most important - do not let old issues from early November, hang around! That was when Mars first opposed Pluto, a not-so-happy birthday gift. The Retro cycle retraces old ground. So take advantage of a lovely Water link between Moon in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces on Dec 27, the best Water healing time of all. This is good prep for Dec 29 to Jan 3, when Retro Mars opposes Pluto again . Since Mars & Pluto are your two rulers, decide to put issues and disagreements aside. Breathe love into each day, during that transition into 2025. A Capricorn New Moon on December 31 promises a potent start to New Year, perfect for healing intentions, for friendship & understanding.
